ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham is one of the hospitality industry's fastest-growing, all-new construction extended-stay brands. Launched in 2024 as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' 24th brand, ECHO Suites was designed from the ground up with direct input from some of the industry's largest and most successful institutional extended-stay developers. With approximately 275 hotels in its pipeline across the United States and a long-term target of 300 locations by 2032, the brand is rapidly expanding nationwide.
Purpose-Built for Long-Term Stays
Every ECHO Suites property is 100% new construction and purpose-built for extended-stay guests. "Every space is designed to function for extended-stay," notes Keith Harris, Wyndham's VP of Architecture, Design, and Construction. The brand's efficient prototype averages approximately 50,000 square feet, with nearly 74% designed as rentable, revenue-generating space. Guest rooms average about 300 square feet and are offered as studio suites with either one queen bed or two queen beds.
In-Room Convenience & Modern Amenities
Each suite features a fully equipped kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and two-burner stovetop—allowing guests to prepare meals in the comfort of their own room. In-room amenities include a smart HDTV with streaming and casting capabilities, plus free standard WiFi with the option to upgrade for faster speeds. Additional on-site facilities include a fitness center, 24/7 guest laundry facilities, and vending stations. The brand also offers pet-friendly accommodations at participating locations.
Strong Market Performance
ECHO Suites has demonstrated impressive performance since its debut. Hotels open six months or more are averaging over 70% occupancy, with the most established locations exceeding 80%. More than 70% of stays exceed seven nights, and over half extend beyond 60 days—reflecting strong demand from project-based business travelers, relocations, and other long-term guests. The brand's momentum is driven by workforce mobility, infrastructure investment, and evolving longer-term travel trends.
With a streamlined operating model, a developer-informed design, and the full backing of Wyndham's global distribution network and support systems, ECHO Suites Extended Stay delivers a compelling "home away from home" experience at an exceptional value—giving guests a great extended-stay experience they'll want to repeat, time and time again.
The FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) for ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham is designed around a core principle of efficiency, durability, and low-cost maintenance, specifically tailored for the extended-stay segment.
Design Philosophy & Durability:
Developed from the ground up with architects Modus and interior designer AB Blevins, the FF&E program prioritizes practicality and ease of replacement. To minimize guest room downtime and reduce owner costs, the design avoids delicate or hard-to-replace items. For example, instead of backlit mirrors or fragile table lamps, the specifications call for standard mirrors and ceiling-mounted lights that can be easily and affordably fixed or replaced locally.
Guestroom FF&E Configuration:
Each of the approximately 300 sq. ft. guestrooms is equipped with a functional, home-like kitchenette. The FF&E package includes:
Furniture: Open shelving and ample closet space allow guests to fully unpack and organize their belongings.
Fixtures: A full-size refrigerator, a two-burner electric cooktop, and a microwave are standard fixtures in every suite.
Equipment: Rooms are outfitted with a smart HDTV with streaming and casting capabilities, and guests have access to complimentary standard WiFi.
Public Area & Operational Equipment:
To support long-term guests, the FF&E package extends to essential public areas. This includes a 24-hour fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment, and a guest laundry room with washers and dryers.
Operational Efficiency:
The entire FF&E scheme is part of a broader strategy to maximize revenue-generating space and streamline operations. By focusing on durable, easy-to-maintain furnishings and eliminating costly amenities like pools and restaurants, the FF&E package helps keep development costs competitive (with an estimated FF&E budget of $744,000–$868,000 per property) and supports a lean operating model.
